The vineyard was planted in 2004 in soils reminiscent of Spain’s arid, rocky soils that consist mostly of sandstone and granite parent material. Challenging growing conditions tend to help Grenache vineyards thrive. This vineyard reached maturity in 2013/2014, and now produces smaller bunches and berries that give more concentrated and mature flavours. The wine is aged in roughly 30% porcelain jars, as well as large 500l old French oak barrels for a period of 14 months.
